Samuel Weiner Named to American College of Trust and Estate Counsel
January 7, 2008 – Samuel Weiner, a member of the Tax, Trusts & Estates Department in the law firm Cole, Schotz, Meisel, Forman & Leonard, P.A., was selected for membership in the exclusive American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is a professional association consisting of only 2,700 lawyers from throughout the United States and are nominated by other fellows. Fellows are selected on the basis of professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.
Mr. Weiner is one of only 71 members in New Jersey.
Mr. Weiner was recently named by Worth magazine to its Top 100 Attorneys list for the second consecutive year. In its December 2007 issue, Worth magazine published its third annual list of the top attorneys in the United States serving affluent families “to assist individuals in their search for well-informed, creative and trustworthy professionals who provide exceptional legal services.”
Mr. Weiner’s practice encompasses all phases of tax, estate and business planning. He focuses on business planning and tax controversy work, and has served as an expert witness in several cases.
Cole Schotz is one of the largest law firms in the New Jersey/New York Metropolitan Area. The firm, which has offices in Bergen County, New Jersey and in Midtown Manhattan, has a client base consisting of a wide array of private and public business enterprises, ranging from closely held to Fortune 500 companies.
