GenSpring Family Offices Expands Its Presence in the Growing Tennessee Wealth Management Market

PALM BEACH, Fla. – April 29, 2009 – GenSpring Family Offices, the wealth management firm for ultra-high net worth families, announced today the addition of respected investment professional Phoebe Venable, CFA.  Based in Nashville, Ms. Venable joins the firm as a family investment officer to serve the growing wealth management market in Tennessee.

Ms. Venable, who brings extensive wealth management and investing experience to GenSpring, will serve as the primary investment advisor for families in Tennessee, overseeing investment policy, asset allocation and portfolio construction. Prior to joining GenSpring, Ms. Venable worked for SunTrust Bank. Beginning her career in 1987 first as an Estate Administrator, then nine years as an Investment Portfolio Manager, she provided professional money management services to high net worth trust clients.  In 2002, Ms. Venable was promoted to First Vice President and Private Client Advisor.  In this role, she advised high net worth clients on comprehensive strategies to build, maintain and preserve their wealth for every stage of their life.  In 2005, Ms. Venable joined the Wealth & Investment Management Leadership team in Nashville.

“I could not be happier that a respected industry professional like Phoebe has chosen to join us. Phoebe shares our values and has a long, rich history of understanding and solving issues families with significant wealth often face,” said John Morris, GenSpring Partner based in Nashville, Tennessee.  “Phoebe is passionate about working with families and with GenSpring she will be able to sit squarely on their side of the table and use our collective power and resources solely for the benefit of the families she serves.”

Once limited to a few of the world’s wealthiest families, the benefits of the family office are rapidly becoming known to a wider circle of ultra-high net worth clients. Today, more than 700 families around the world trust GenSpring to oversee and guide them in their financial lives. Unlike traditional wealth management firms, GenSpring is uncompromising and unconflicted in its ability to solve the challenges wealthy families face and which keep them awake at night.
