Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale

Christie’s Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale earned a record-breaking $247,597,000 on November 8, 2011 in New York City. 33 works sold for over the $1 million mark and 16 new world auction records were established for artists including Roy Lichtenstein, Paul McCarthy, Charles Ray and Louise Bourgeois, as well as Wayne Thiebaud, whose “Sixteen Pies” set a world auction record for a work on paper by the artist.

Featured Auction: The Sixth Annual Jackson Hole Art Auction

The annual Jackson Hole Art Auction is one of the Signature events of the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. This auction is known for offering top quality works by past and present masters of the American West. These six paintings were sold at the sixth annual Jackson Hole Art Auction, which was held on Sept. 17, 2011.
