Job 6123: Trust -New Business Development Officer

Position Responsibilities: Responsible for both new business development and account administration. 30% new business development (networking with CPAís and Attorneyís) and 70% trust administration. Maintain, manage and enhance an existing portfolio of Trust accounts. Participates in reviewing governing and related documents, for new and existing accounts, to determine acceptability. Interprets document language to determine proper administration Calling on potential or existing customers and referral sources to develop new business by promoting company services and products. Selling services to qualified prospects. Cultivates and maintains relationships with numerous sources of new business, including company officials, social acquaintances, and internal referral sources. Meets with prospects to explain the company's trust services, discusses the advantages of proper planning, and obtains background data on corporate or personal finances, family relationships, and employee status. Maintains a continuing relationship with existing customers to retain their goodwill and to develop additional business. Makes presentations to business and professional groups, community clubs, etc. as requested and on the topics they specify.

Education and Certifications/Licenses:
Bachelors

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a degree and possess at least 3+ years related experience in trust, estate planning, and strong relationship building skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Well connected in the Grand Rapids community.
