Job 5980: Trust New Business Officer

Position Responsibilities:
Our client, a billion dollar plus community financial services company, is based in Ann Arbor and serves the Southeastern Michigan marketplace by providing high quality trust and investment management services and personalized attention to individuals and not for profit institutions. The Group is comprised of investment and trust professionals experienced at helping clients build net worth through the prudent management of assets and effective financial and estate planning. They have a well earned reputation for providing the highest level of personal service. Their investment platform is based on open architecture consisting of internal and external money managers according to a clientís preferences and risk tolerance. The firm serves in an unbiased consultant role for its clients at an attractive fee based cost. The company seeks a highly motivated and experienced individual to develop new trust & investment management business primarily within the high potential Ann Arbor market and within the broader Southeastern market as opportunities present themselves.

Education and Certifications/Licenses:
Bachelors, CFP and/or MBA a plus

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires at least 5 years of financial experience and market familiarity, along with strong interpersonal and consultative skills and personal initiative.

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be intimately familiar with selling to high net worth individuals and their other professional advisors. CFP designation and MBA are pluses as well as retirement plan familiarity.

Additional Comments:
The individual will be physically located in Ann Arbor and supported by an administrative assistant. He or she will be experienced in the full range of trust and investment products and services as they relate to individual portfolio management, retirement plans, not-for-profit institutions and estate planning. The jobholder will develop internal leads from within the Retail and Commercial arms of the organization and external leads from public accountants, attorneys, financial planners and others. The job holder will also be expected to be an integral part of the Trust & Investment Group partnering where needed with those experienced individuals. It is expect the jobholder will produce a minimum of $225K of new fee income per year.
