Job Description/Requirements:
In this key opportunity, you will be responsible for understanding the
key features and benefits of personal trust and fiduciary services
while effectively articulating the features and benefits of each
personal trust product or fiduciary service to Financial Advisors (FAs)
and Financial Intermediaries (FIMs). You will effectively communicate
and/or discuss the benefits of Wachovia Trust Company personal trust
services (including Delaware law) to FAs, FIMs, prospects/clients and
professional advisors. In addition, you will develop and maintain the
confidence and trust of FAs and FIMs in your expertise; communicate to
FAs, FIMs or prospects/clients all the steps involved in transferring
an existing trust to Wachovia Trust Company or the steps to create a
new trust that will meet the prospect’s needs; and design of any
customized personal trust or fiduciary proposals. You will also be
responsible for assembling of presentation materials or coordination of
the production of presentation materials by other sales team members,
acting as a fiduciary expert with the prospect/client and coordinating
the interpretation of personal trust documents. Additionally, you will
be responsible for staying abreast of changes in personal trust or tax
law; obtaining current/future fee appointments; overseeing the sales
process with prospects/clients; providing expertise in overall
assessment of personal trust, fiduciary and planning needs of a
prospect/client; and listening/asking the appropriate questions and
deriving a profile of the products and services needed. Other duties
include motivating the prospect to become a current/future client,
utilizing sophisticated trust and estate software for prospect/client
consulting, preparing presentation tools for prospect/client meetings,
as well as building and maintaining effective professional
relationships with partners.
Must have three years’ sales experience with a proven sales
record in the financial services industry and possess technical
knowledge regarding estate/financial planning, with ability to
communicate these products and services.
MBA, CPA, CFA, CTFA, JD, CFP or willingness to be certified and/or have
a proven track record in personal trust sales is essential. Excellent
interpersonal, PC, communication and presentation skills with knowledge
of a broad array of financial services products are necessary. Must
have strong negotiation and sales closing skills, with knowledge of
Delaware law, Off-Shore Trusts, Kettley, Word and Lotus. Series 7
is required. Must be able to travel and/or occasionally stay
overnight.
